The Barrier Balm is a nutrient-dense concentrate; a little goes a long way. Apply to damp or dry skin, over the entire face or on areas needing extra support. To apply, warm between fingertips to soften, then press onto the face and neck. It can also be used on delicate areas such as under the eyes, cuticles, and lips.

Your skin barrier — known as the stratum corneum — is the outermost layer of your skin and the foundation of a healthy complexion. It works in two critical ways: locking moisture in by preventing trans-epidermal water loss (TEWL), and keeping environmental stressors like pollution, bacteria, and irritants out.
When your barrier is healthy, skin looks and feels plump, calm, and balanced — and holds hydration without constant reapplication of creams and oils. A strong barrier is also more resilient, meaning less reactivity, less sensitivity, and fewer flare-ups in response to everyday environmental triggers.
Common signs of a compromised skin barrier include dryness, redness, rough or flaky patches, and increased reactivity — like sudden product sensitivities or unexplained breakouts. You may also notice your skin feels tight, uncomfortable, or takes longer to recover after exposure to environmental stressors. PM: Oil cleanse, then layer your toner or mist (optional), Wonder Serum, and Barrier Balm to seal it all in overnight.
AM: Oil cleanse, toner, essence, or mist, Wonder Serum, and an optional face oil or moisturizer — finish with a thin layer of Barrier Balm, SPF, and makeup if you're wearing it.
We don't use synthetic stabilizers, texture modifiers, or waxes- so your Barrier Balm may naturally shift in texture with temperature, a normal sign it's wax-free and full of nourishing oils and butters.
You may also notice slight graininess. Plant butters like shea contain fatty acids that solidify at varying temperatures. This does not affect performance- simply warm between your fingers to smooth.
If you'd like to reset your jar to a smooth, uniform texture, here's how:
Warm Gently- Screw the lid on tightly and submerge in a bowl of warm (not boiling) water until the balm is fully melted.
Cool To Set- Allow the balm to cool at room temperature briefly, then place in the refrigerator until fully solidified.
Enjoy- Bring to room temperature before use.
