Instructions

Apply 1 – 2 pumps to dry skin on face and neck, for best results massage for a full minute. Add a small amount of warm water and massage to cleanse. Rinse thoroughly with water – no washcloth needed.

Unlike other oil cleansers, the oat protein (gluten-free) in our formula allows the cleanser to emulsify when in contact with water, transforming the cleanser from honey to milk. No need for a washcloth to remove, simply wash away with warm water.

luxurious, honey consistency, smells divine, feels divine, and my skin is so happy.

LOVELY CLEANSER -- no greasy residue
I've tried oil cleansers before, and have always then needed to follow them with foaming cleansers. I love this oil cleanser -- goes on with a thick rick feel, but then with the addition of a bit of water becomes a milky soft cleanser. Gets off all my makeup and sunscreen without leaving my face dried out, and without any greasy afterfeel. Love it!

Oil Cleansers are miracle workers for skincare: they offer a deep cleanse without stripping or drying your skin out or disrupting your microbiome (our top priority is to befriend and care for your microbiome, not cause any harm). The principle of oil cleansing is that oil attracts oil, and most of the gunk we want to get off our complexion is oil-based: SPF, makeup, product, and excess oils. Oil Cleansers are a magnet for removing all these impurities, helping to clear pores to control and prevent breakouts. It is important to note oil cleansers must be applied to dry skin. Water repels oil, so apply first to dry hands and a dry face, massage in for a few minutes, and rinse with warm water.

Our Oil Cleanser is in a league of its own. A typical oil cleanser has the consistency of a runny oil, like an olive or sunflower oil. They often require a washcloth to fully remove all the oil during cleansing. Our oil cleanser is formulated with a (gluten-free) oat protein that acts as an emulsifier. It gives our cleanser its inimitable thick consistency, which beyond deep cleansing, helps boost circulation and offer lymphatic drainage as you spend a few minutes massing it in. Once it comes in contact with water, it transforms from honey to milk and washes clean away – no need for a washcloth and no feeling of residue or excess product. It removes makeup, sunscreen, waterproof mascara, and excess oils beautifully and leaves your skin feeling soft, clean, and balanced.

We can’t speak to all oil cleansers, but our Oil Cleanser effectively removes SPF and stubborn waterproof mascara.

No! Oil Cleansers help unclog pores. What is clogging your pores is often hardened sebum (the oil our skin naturally produces) or excess product - an oil based cleanser will attract these impurities and help to decongest your complexion. This process is very gentle and natural for your skin, which is why we talk about working with your microbiome and your skin’s natural rhythms. You can absolutely unclog your pores using other cleansers, but they often contain harsh chemical-based ingredients or soaps that will strip your skin in the process, which sets off a chain of events for your skin to produce more oil to heal and hydrate itself.

Our Oil Cleanser can be used daily, morning and night. It's gentle enough not to disrupt your sensitive and lively microbiome but tough enough to remove daily build-up, makeup, and excess oils. If you only wash your face once a day, always opt for night.

Some oil cleansers cannot remove all of the day's impurities, which is why double cleansing is becoming popular. We firmly believe this is unnecessary with our product, and to do so would stripe your skin's beneficial oils. If you’d like to take it a little deeper, we recommend adding our Olive & Lotus Exfoliant once a week. It is meant to be mixed directly into the Oil Cleanser for a customizable exfoliation.
