Olio vs. Oil
There isn't a single meal or dish that Wonder Valley extra virgin olive oil can't enhance. Both the Olio Nuevo and our signature Olive Oil are rich and vibrant enough to stand up to strong flavors, but fruity and mellow enough for everyday use. So, it is never a question of when to reach for Wonder Valley but which one to choose.
Olio Nuevo is potent and perishable; lively and luminous. This isn't a bottle to casually use frying up an egg or adding to a slow braise; instead, let the olio flow anywhere you need to add some succulence or a peppery edge just before serving. Think seasonal salads, juicy fruit, crudos, and sweet flavors. Don't let this limited small batch oil sleep in the back of your pantry, a perfect oil for the oil obsessed.
While the Olio is best enjoyed as finishing touch, the Olive Oil is a cook's best friend. It has a beautifully smooth, verdant flavor that lingers on your tongue. Robust, but well-balanced, with just a longer shelf-life than the Olio. Well-suited to all kinds of cooking demands, but just as delicious simply mopped up by a crusty loaf of bread.
