Instructions

The Barrier Balm is a nutrient-dense concentrate; a little goes a long way. Apply to damp or dry skin, over the entire face or on areas needing extra support. To apply, warm between fingertips to soften, then press onto the face and neck. It can also be used on delicate areas such as under the eyes, cuticles, and lips.

+ STONE SPOONa small luxury with a practical purpose, add this stone spoon to your routine for a chic application tool.

Why No Wax?

Barrier Balm is an intentionally waxless facial balm that’s lighter, more breathable, and melts beautifully into your skin. Many balms rely on wax to hold their shape, but this can create a heavier, pore-clogging finish. Our waxless formula stays supple, absorbing easily while delivering concentrated barrier lipids and nourishing oils

—a perfect balance of protection and breathability.

I could not believe the effect it had on my skin... I kept touching my face in disbelief! My skin was visibly healthier after using the balm. It significantly smoothed out the shaggy texture of my winter skin, and overall redness was visibly reduced.
Marisa B.
My skin felt more plump, youthful, and definitely more moisturized than with my previous skin care products. I had zero instances of dryness and eczema around my chin and mouth where I typically have it.
Ashley W.
At 41, my skin leans on the drier side, and I have larger pores. This is one of the only products that's helped reduce their appearance. It has kept my skin visibly moisturized throughout the day."

FAQ

Your skin barrier — known as the stratum corneum — is the outermost layer of your skin and the foundation of a healthy complexion. It works in two critical ways: locking moisture in by preventing trans-epidermal water loss (TEWL), and keeping environmental stressors like pollution, bacteria, and irritants out. When your barrier is healthy, skin looks and feels plump, calm, and balanced — and holds hydration without constant reapplication of creams and oils. A strong barrier is also more resilient, meaning less reactivity, less sensitivity, and fewer flare-ups in response to everyday environmental triggers.

Common signs of a compromised skin barrier include dryness, redness, rough or flaky patches, and increased reactivity — like sudden product sensitivities or unexplained breakouts. You may also notice your skin feels tight, uncomfortable, or takes longer to recover after exposure to environmental stressors. When the barrier is consistently weakened, it creates conditions where chronic skin concerns like dermatitis and rosacea are more likely to surface and flare.

A number of internal and external factors can compromise your skin barrier over time. Environmental aggressors — UV exposure, wind, pollution, and smoke — are among the most common culprits, along with external toxins like microplastics and poor water quality. Over-exfoliation and harsh chemical exfoliants strip the barrier of its natural lipids, while the wrong products can do just as much damage: too many layered topicals, synthetic fragrances, and harsh preservatives all disrupt the skin's delicate balance. But barrier health isn't one-size-fits-all — age, genetics, and your unique cellular makeup all influence how resilient or reactive your skin is. The best approach is to listen to your skin: notice what triggers sensitivity and what leaves it feeling nourished, calm, and balanced.

Barrier Balm is an intentionally waxless facial balm that’s lighter, more breathable, and melts beautifully into your skin. Many balms rely on wax to hold their shape, but this can create a heavier, pore-clogging finish.

PM: Oil cleanse, then layer your toner or mist (optional), Wonder Serum, and Barrier Balm to seal it all in overnight. AM: Oil cleanse, toner, essence, or mist, Wonder Serum, and an optional face oil or moisturizer — finish with a thin layer of Barrier Balm, SPF, and makeup if you're wearing it.
