Scenes from the November 2018 olive oil harvest from the groves in Northern California's Lake County. The fruit is picked at the first signs of ripening, just barely a hint of purple on the peppery green Tuscan olives. The team uses modern mechanized rakes to harvest the fruit from these mature olive trees, carefully collected by hand in nets and placed into bins and brought immediately to the mill to be pressed.
